Welcome
At one time or another, it is not uncommon to feel stuck in our relationships and careers, overwhelmed by difficult emotions, or plagued by the sense that something is missing from our lives. You may be painfully aware of self-defeating beliefs and behaviors that seem to stifle your creativity, confidence and ambition. Or you may be at a crossroads, unsure about what you really want. Perhaps you have mixed feelings about certain aspects of yourself, parts that you have never fully understood or come to terms with. Often, these issues show up in our relationships, with family, friends and intimate partners, where we may wish for more authenticity or fulfillment. At such times it can be difficult to know where to turn, whom to trust, and how best to work on restoring a sense of wholeness.
I offer a compassionate and supportive environment in which both individuals and couples are able to explore core emotional issues, relationship dynamics, behavioral patterns and attachment styles. My clients often utilize their sessions to help improve communication in their intimate and professional relationships, or to increase awareness into how their past experience may be influencing their consciousness and outlook in the present. For some, therapy provides a unique and transformative experience of personal connection and relatedness, and an expanded range of choices for the future.
I am a registered MFT intern (MFTi # 53145), at an advanced stage of the licensure process, working under the supervision of Dr. Paul Bowman, Ph.D. My practice is located at the Marina Counseling Center, 2137 Lombard Street, at Fillmore. I offer my services on an affordable sliding scale, ranging from $100 to $50 or less per session, depending on income. In those cases where the client’s insurance company reimburses for my services, and when a client chooses to utilize insurance, I will provide the necessary paperwork to document your treatment. I typically offer both daytime and evening appointments.
I look forward to exploring whether it might be productive for us to work together.
